The Trinity is about the perfect harmony of one God in three persons.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word [Jesus], and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (1 John 5:7, KJV).
The biblical concept of the Trinity of God has confused men for two thousand years. It is important to recognize that we don’t believe in three gods. We believe in one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, always in harmony with one another. The Holy Spirit will never guide us to do something that is contrary to the commands of God.
In 2004, there was a USA Today headline declaring, “Gay Episcopal Bishop Says, ‘Holy Spirit Led Us.’” The article went on to quote the new priest as saying that, although he genuinely regrets the pain that his ordination caused some believers, he saw no reason to repent because the leaders who made the decision were led by the Holy Spirit. Now, my friends, when pseudo-spiritual leaders give credit to the Holy Spirit for guiding man to do something that God says is evil, this is nothing but blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
God loves all sinners. He sent His son to die to pay the penalty for all sinners. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and the need to repent and receive God’s gift of salvation through Christ. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are always in perfect harmony. Everything the Holy Spirit counsels us to do will be in obedience to the commands of God. He never counsels us to disobey the Word of God. The Trinity is about the perfect harmony of one God in three persons.
