Immeasurably More

Description

As a mom, how many times a day do we feel so unequipped to do our job? There is good news! Jesus’ power is working within us and through Him we are able to do immeasurably more than we can even imagine.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. 

As a mom, how many times a day do we feel so unequipped to do our job? How many times have you thought to yourself, “What do I do in this situation?” We know our desire is to be a great mom but at the end of the day, do we feel like we have been a great mom?  Most of the time our answer is sadly, ‘no.’ We tell ourselves, ‘I’ll start anew tomorrow.’ We love our children, we care for them and protect them, but most days we feel so inadequate. 

There is good news for moms everywhere! Jesus’ power is working within us and through Him we are able to do immeasurably more than we can even imagine.  This means that during the days when we feel like we do not have another ounce of energy to continue, Jesus has that energy. When we feel our patience is at it’s end, IF we call on Jesus, He will come through for us and give us patience. When we are weak, He is strong. Moms, you cannot do this job on your own— you need the power of Jesus working through you, always. When you rely and lean in on Him, He will provide everything you need. Today, when you get to the end of your rope, call out to Him and ask Him to give you immeasurably more.

 Prayer

Father, Thank You that You are always with me and all I have to do is to cry out to You and You are instantly with me. God, I need You. I cannot do the job of raising these children by myself. I used to think I could, but I am realizing, more and more, that I cannot. Thank You for knowing this truth before I ever did and for preparing a way for me…that through your son Jesus, I can accomplish more than I ever dreamed of accomplishing. I love you.
