Description

Through Christ and his gift of being heirs with him, we are no longer orphans under guardianship through the Law. We have permanent placement!

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. (Galatians 3:26-27 ESV)

I have an amazing friend who is a foster mom to several babies who come in and out of her door with reckless abandon. She loves on them, smothering them with kisses, holding back nothing.

She’s also a mom to two adopted children she calls her own. Because they are her own. Well, technically they are the Lord’s as she dedicated them to Him. But while on this earth, she does not introduce them as her adopted children, but simply and proudly as her children. Their passports do not designate them as ‘not blood relatives,’ but as her babies. A legal process made them legitimate heirs and nothing could have pleased her or them more!

Yes, as much as she loves the foster children she is given to take care of temporarily, there is a stronger, long term commitment to those she calls her own. A precious stability and comfort that comes from having permanent placement. Every child – of every age – wants and needs a ‘forever’ home and parent.

Through Christ and his gift of being heirs with him, we are no longer orphans under guardianship through the Law. We have permanent placement! We need to walk in the Truth that we are loved, cherished and wanted. Our Father sees us as His own.

Father, please pull down the labels and lies of our pasts and place before us the truth of who we are through faith, in Christ . . . Beloved children!
