;

I Trust Him

Description

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and he will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

I look down at my journal from 2006 reading what I wrote there.

I expected an answer by now. I thought things would be different today, but it isn't. I believed God for healing. I claimed it. My family reels from emotional upheaval. Tears. There are tears in my eyes as I think about the struggle. This is what brought me to a crisis of faith—this is what keeps me on my knees.  Mental illness—a heavy blow to any family.

I still trust Him.

He is Sovereign.

He made the world

He made everything in it.

He is Creator God.

I trust Him.

He is Lord.

He is Lord of heaven.

He is Lord of earth.

I trust Him.

He is all sufficient.

He doesn't need me.

He doesn't need me to build Him a temple to live in.

He doesn't need me to serve Him with my hands.

He doesn't need.

I trust Him.

He is omnipotent.

He made one man.

From one man He made many men.

From many men He made every nation.

I trust Him.

God is ever-present.

He made us to live.

He made us to live where we are.

He made us to live at this time.

He set our boundaries.

Why?

So we may reach out and search for Him.

He is not far from each one of us.

I trust Him.

He is Love.

He overlooks our ignorance.

He calls us to repentance.

He calls us to change our ways.

He calls us to Himself.

I trust Him.

He is Judge.

He will judge us all.

He will judge in righteousness.

He will judge in Christ Jesus.

I trust Him.

He is my Redeemer.

In Him I live.

In Him I breathe.

In Him I have my being.

In Him I exist.

I trust Him.

My life is in His hands.

My death is in His hands.

I still trust Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out the appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being...Acts 17:24-28
