I’m Known

Today, stop and take notice that your Heavenly Father adores you.

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.

Think about that verse for just a second. Before we were ever conceived, ever formed in our mother’s womb, God knew us. God knows everything about us, from our deepest secrets that we won't even whisper to a friend, to our current struggles. God knows the exact time we were going to be born and the day we will die. Nothing in our lives is outside of His grasp or knowledge. God has got you in the palm of His hand and He is not going to let go, no matter how great or hopeless your life appears to be.

To be loved so greatly by our Heavenly Father, what an amazing gift! So many of us walk around with a distorted view of God. We believe He is distant, uncaring, ready to punish us at the next turn, but in reality we have it all wrong. God is as close to you as your breath. He is loving and kind and He doesn’t want to punish us, but wants to rescue us from our sin. What an amazing God we love and serve. Today, stop and take notice that your Heavenly Father adores you. He wants a relationship with you, to know you deeply and for you to know Him. So many times we walk around thinking no one truly knows us, but take heart, God has known you since before you were born.

Prayer: Father, Thank You for Your sovereignty and Your deep love for me. I know at times I push against these thoughts, but God I do believe You love me and I am forever grateful. I want to wake up everyday and think of You first. How wonderful that You know me and I don’t have to say a word. I don’t have to perform or even act a certain way. You already know me and love me completely! Thank you God.
