I Don’t Have Time to Read My Bible

Make time to read the Word ... it will help your heart stay connected to God.

My to-do list was so long, the thought of doing one more thing made me want to scream.

With all I had to get done each day, I had convinced myself that my time with God and reading my Bible could be trumped by other things that demanded my attention. I mean my kids wouldn’t go hungry and I wouldn’t miss a deadline, if I didn’t read my Bible.

When I don’t read my Bible, I’m a mess. I don’t have God’s perspective, and I get overwhelmed with my life. But one thing that’s helped me is being in a Bible study group. It gives me consistency and encouragement when I’m with women who are going through the same struggles. But more than anything, it helps my heart stay connected to God and His Word.
