“There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.” -Ephesians 4:5-6 NLT
I had been struggling for some time, wondering whether or not God is real. I talked to my mom about it. I asked her, "what if the Bible is just another book, like The Chronicles of Narnia?" She told me that believing is a matter of faith, like, for example, we believe in the wind but we cannot see it! She also told me that the only way I would know that God is real is if I read my Bible more often and prayed more. My mom then said that if I asked, God would speak to me that very day.
So I went to my room and read my Jesus Calling for kids (By the way, you should totally get it – it really strengthens your faith!).
Before I began reading, I prayed and asked God to talk to me. I opened up my Jesus Calling book to that day and it was about listening to God’s voice. The Bible verse for that day was the one I wrote above: Ephesians 4:5-6: “There is ONE God…”
I came downstairs crying out of joy! I could tell that God was speaking to me, showing me how real He really is. I now have assurance that God is real!! He really spoke to me and I have not been the same since that day.
God answers your prayers and He wants to show you how real He really is! You just have to pray and ask Him. Here is a good verse to go with that: Matthew 7:7 “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you.”
I believe God!
