I Am Forgiven
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
We all set reminders in life. We schedule meetings and have our smart phones remind us to show up. We set our alarm clocks to remind us it’s time to get up. But our schedules and routines aren’t the only things we need reminders for. Often, we need to be reminded of who we are, not just what we are supposed to do.
One of the biggest reminders we need in order to get the most out of life is the reminder that through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Too many of us hold on to our “skeletons in the closets,” dragging around our past. But the reality is, if we have accepted the work Jesus did for us on the cross, our past is forgiven. We can walk free. And reminding ourselves of that is one of the greatest things we can do to live a full and abundant life.
Thank God for the work of forgiveness He provided through Jesus Christ. Ask Him to help you remember to work each day so you can get the most out of each day.
Write down today’s reminder, “I am forgiven,” along with today’s verse to help you remember the reality of what God has done for you.
