I Am Blessed!
“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him” 2 Peter 1:3
This week we have already learned that, if we have a personal relationship with Christ, if we have “made the move from Moab,” then we are righteous and holy in God's eye. But there’s more. We are also blessed! What does it mean to be blessed? It simply means to be on the receiving end of the tangible and intangible favor of God.
Today’s scripture confirms that as we move closer to God, in the place he wants us to be, we receive, by His power (not of our own efforts), the good things He has planned for us. That does not mean that life will always be perfect. We still live in a fallen and fallible world. But the reality is that because of the work Jesus Christ has done, we experience the blessings God wants us to have. It comes down to a choice. We choose to live in God’s will. Or we choose to try things our own way. What do you choose?
Pray that God will continue to lead you on His path, one that benefits from a life, godliness and blessings. Pray for the desire to continually know Him more intimately so that you can experience the blessings He has for you.
If weekly participation in the life of the local church is something that you have not yet committed to, make a decision now that your will do so. Make being part of God’s House a priority, and discover the blessings of being more connected and plugged in!
