Hunger—No Games
Description
The number of people in South Sudan who lack adequate food is expected to reach 4.6 million by in 2015, having more than doubled since the first of the year. That includes more than 800,000 children under the age of 5.
Violence has made it impossible for many people to farm, and recent heavy fighting interrupted aid deliveries and led to World Vision and other humanitarian groups suspending operations in some areas.
World Vision assists displaced South Sudanese with food, water, and sanitation. Programs for children include family tracing, psychosocial support, education, and activities for at-risk youth.
