Read: Job 26:7-14
One thing I look forward to on beach trips is waking up before sunrise and running on the beach as the sun hits the horizon. Early in the morning, the sun is rising, waves are crashing, dolphins are playing and pelicans are diving for breakfast. I can almost taste the salt air as I type. Watching the sun come up on these early morning runs, reminds me how truly small I am. But more importantly, it reminds me how big God is.
Job 26 says, “God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing… He created the horizon when he separated the waters; he set the boundary between day and night… By his power the sea grew calm… His Spirit made the heavens beautiful…These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?”
The next time you’re at the beach, or even the mountains, take a good look around you and be encouraged. If God can do all of this, surely He can handle anything we throw His way.
