Home Away

Description

Iraqi children who fled their homes in Sinjar, live in Berseve, a camp for displaced persons in Dohuk in the northeast Kurdish Region of Iraq.

Schooling has been disrupted for more than 3 million Iraqi school children since the current humanitarian crisis began there. In February 2015, World Vision began a project called Let Us Learn to provide education and child protection services for 12,240 children who live in two camps for displaced people and in nearby host communities.

Let Us Learn is based on the premise that every child should have access to a quality basic education and psychosocial support. The program helps communities work together to promote education and safeguard their children’s protection and well-being.
