As the daughter of a rickshaw puller, Sheuly was unlikely to have resources to pursue education and a career. But World Vision sponsorship enabled her to dream and reach for success.
Sheuly’s life was full of uncertainty. She overcome it by hard work. She is thankful to World Vision for being with her through the struggle the whole time.
Sheuly teaches mathematics at a government primary school in Bangladesh. Her success was hardwon.
She overcame all sorts of hurdles in life—poverty, an injury that disabled her mother, difficulties in pursuing education. But she kept on moving towards a better life and one established with dignity.
“I would have been thrown [into] child labor, or could have been a victim of early marriage if I was not engaged with World Vision as a sponsored child,” says Sheuly.
Now that she has achieved success, she helps her younger brother to meet his educational aims and plans to buy land for her family to live on.
