Hide and Seek

Description

By hiding from God, we are only hurting ourselves by separating ourselves from the One who will bring healing and love back into a life that is wounded and hurting.

Hebrews 4:13

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.  Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Children love to play hide and seek and they love to find the perfect hiding spot, where no one can find them.  Sometimes we do this in our adult life when we have a secret or we are not proud of our actions. It is easy to hide our past, our lies, and actions from our family and friends. We will even hide from God at times. We convince ourselves that it doesn’t matter and we think God will never know. Satan also whispers in our ear, that we “should” hide from God because God will probably be very unhappy with us and punish us greatly for our sin.

The truth is: nothing is ever hidden from God.  God knows all.  And, the beautiful thing about God is that He already knows…and He still loves us.  By hiding from God, we are only hurting ourselves by separating ourselves from the One who will bring healing and love back into a life that is wounded and hurting.  God knows, and God loves.  Your sin has already been paid for through Christ.  Don’t play hide and seek with God! Confess your sin and own it and be restored to a loving almighty God.  Tell God today what He already knows.  Confess your sins before Him and receive his overflowing love and forgiveness.

Prayer

Father, It blows my mind that You know all things and nothing is hidden from Your sight. It also blows my mind, that You love me despite my wicked ways. Your love goes beyond my wildest dreams and I am forever thankful that You are my Lord and Savior.  God, give me the courage to not hide from you, but to always be willing to share what I have done so I maybe reunited with you.
