Heavy Load

A worker carries a sack of food from a storage tent to the distribution site where World Vision is providing food aid to families in South Sudan.

7.5 million people are in need of immediate assistance in the war-torn country as of June 2017; 5.5 million lack adequate food to eat. Conditions are expected to worsen over the next few months.

World Vision provides life-giving essentials to families suffering from violence and food shortages in South Sudan. The organization distributes more of the World Food Program’s food assistance than any other nongovernmental aid group. Hundreds of thousands of people depend on our help for sustenance every month.

We remember Our Lord’s words in Matthew 25:35 -- For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.
