Hear Me!

God knows how to handle every season with your children and He knows exactly what your children need and when they need it. So ask.

Psalm 86:1

Hear, O Lord and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

If ever there is a time of need for our Lord, it is during the years of being a mom. Even if everything is going well, we are in need of God. Just when a mom figures out one stage of life with her child, the child changes and moves onto a different stage- it almost doesn’t seem fair. But that’s motherhood.

Take all your many questions to the Lord. The questions don’t stop after the toddler years- having teenagers can be even more overwhelming. Ask God what is going on with your teenager and what is the best way to relate to them during this season of their life. Does your teen need to be given an extra measure of love and grace, or does your teen need stricter rules and less permissive parenting. God knows. God knows how to handle every season with your children and He knows exactly what your child needs and when he needs it. So ask.

Be bold like David- ask God to listen to your prayers and give you what you need. God has the answers that you are looking for concerning your children and your life. Pay attention though, when He answers, be open to what He says. Sometimes we hear Him, but we don’t want to listen because we don’t like what He is saying. Remember, God knows your children better than you- He can look straight into their heart and know exactly what is the best course of action to take.

Thank You that You do listen to me when I am in need. I pray that I would seek You always in my life, especially concerning my children. God, there are so many times that I have no idea how to parent my children and I am so thankful that I can come to You and You will direct me. My prayer is that I will open my heart to Your word and Your way.
