Corrie ten Boom was interned in a Nazi concentration camp because she hid Jews from the Nazis during World War II. She shared her testimony on many occasions following her release. People would line up to tell her what a blessing she’d been to them. Corrie accepted each compliment as she would a flower. And then, at the end of each day, she offered her “bouquet” to the Lord.
I’m afraid most of us are carrying a wilted bouquet — because we’ve hung on to it so long, clutching the credit for ourselves. It’s been said that we don’t seem to mind giving God the glory — as long as we can take a 10 percent commission!
