Have You Forgotten?
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not (Isaish 53:3).
Imagine what it would be like to be on trial for something you didn’t do, and not one person stands up in your defense.
One of the most tragic scenes to me in all of Scripture is when Jesus was arrested in the Garden and placed on trial. Many accusers blamed Him for treason — but where was the blind man He’d given sight? Where was the leper He had cleansed? The adulterous woman He had forgiven? Where were they? John 12:19 says, “Look how the whole world has gone after him!” Yet not one stood with Him at the end. Did they forget?
Have you forgotten what Jesus has done for you too?
Take a moment today. Make a list of what Jesus has done for you. Add to it every night before you go to bed. Then thank Him for what He has done by living your life identified with Him.
