Great Project

Description

Don’t allow Satan, for one second, make you believe the lie that your work is not going anywhere. Your dedication as a mom has the potential to change generations to come!

Nehemiah 6:3, NIV

I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down.

Being a mom is a never-ending job. Most of the time it is a thankless job, a mindless job and a job that no one else really wants to do. BUT, it is an important job!  If it is done right, your job, as a mom, has the greatest influence on our society and how it functions. Think about it: a mother has the ability to influence the next generation more than anyone else.  Maybe that is why Satan attacks moms and plants ideas in their minds that the job of a mom is mindless and pointless. Satan wants moms to start thinking there has to be more in life and surely they, as moms, are capable of doing more.

You are capable of doing a lot more, but don’t allow Satan, for one second, make you believe the lie that your work is not going anywhere. Your dedication as a mom has the potential to change generations to come!

Nehemiah was not tempted to come down from the project of rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, even though he had great opposition. He declared, “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down.”  We, as moms, need to be just as single focused. Our great project is our children and family; stay true to what is important and don’t come down!

Prayer

Father, Keep my eyes focused on You! At times, being a mom is a mundane job. Sometimes, I do feel that life is passing me by, but I know that is not true. God, open up my eyes and show me the importance of my role. Help me to be disciplined and not wander off to fulfill my needs, because my child needs me to stay focused.  And I need you, in order to finish well.
