Great Leaders Ask Questions

Description

As leaders, we are often just one or two questions away from a breakthrough.

Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem. Nehemiah 1:2

Think

We are all leaders. No matter if you run a household or a Fortune 500 company, you have influence on someone else; and influence is leadership. When you are acting as a leader many times you expect to be asked questions. But Nehemiah shows us that it actually can be the other way around.

Leaders, great leaders, ask questions. Nehemiah asked questions. And we should be questioners as well. As leaders, we are often just one or two questions away from a breakthrough. When we ask the right people the right questions and get the right answers, we can find that God takes our leadership to a level otherwise not possible.

Pray

Ask God for discernment in situations in which you lead. Ask Him to help you ask the right people the right questions.

Act

What leadership qualities do you possess or should you possess for your realm of life? Read the rest of Nehemiah 1 and write down a list of two or three leadership skills he demonstrated.
