With the simple acting of cooking and serving a meal, Kousalya is a leader in social change.
Kousalya cooks an afternoon meal for 60 children in her village in Bihar, India. She makes delicious, thick pancakes from a highly nutritious mix of pulses, grains, and vegetables. The children will love it.
Not long ago, many of them would have been forbidden to eat – or even touch – food prepared by a member of one of the lower castes.
World Vision programs in Kousalya’s village are helping women to overcome social, economic, and gender discrimination.
Joshua 2:12 “…show kindness to my family, because I have shown kindness to you.”
Reciprocate today any kindness done to you.
