Good Book
Description
Antonio is the only one in his family who knows how to read well. His parents and grandparents are illiterate.
In the summer, his parents and grandparents do agricultural work. But in the winter they struggle to make ends meet. That’s when they need to buy fire wood, school supplies, and clothing for the children, as well as food.
Antonio’s skills were enhanced by an after-school enrichment program for Roma children that World Vision set up in his community. Now his little brother attends.
Antonio’s ability to read has inspired him to read the Bible to his family. This in turn has led them to learn about the Christian faith.
