Going on in God’s Care

Description

The special relationship between God and His redeemed people is a covenant.

Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:31-33)

Edith suffered Alzheimer’s and was in a care facility. Daily, for years, her husband visited. Burt brought flowers, whispered in her ear, fed her, fixed her hair and even learned to give her a facial. “She doesn’t know who you are,” a nurse said. “Why do you do this?” Burt smiled. “She may not know who I am, but I know who she is. We’ve been in a covenant a long time, and I’m going to take care of her.” The special relationship between God and His redeemed people is a covenant. He’s promised to be our Caregiver, even when we may not recognize Him.
