Godly Men, Part 5
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 NIV
I couldn’t close a series on Godly men without giving you the number one ingredient found in Godly men: Christ is in their heart.
Everyday, along with my other prayers, I pray a very simple pray for my two boys. It goes like this: “Dear Father, help them to be men of God, and to love Jesus with all their heart.” You see, I want my boys to be Godly men some day. I know that won’t happen apart from Jesus.
Is Jesus in your heart? Has there ever been a time when you personally asked Him into your heart; to save you from your sins? If not, and you truly want to be born again, PRAY THIS PRAYER: Dear God, I know that You love me. I know I’m a sinner. I have broken Your laws. I know, that because You are Holy, absent of sin, that my sin has separated me from You. I believe that Jesus died on the Cross as payment for my sin, and that He rose from the dead giving me the ability to have eternal life. I ask You Jesus to forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and save me. I want to be a born again Christian. Thank You for saving me.
If you have had Jesus in your heart, but you have been living as if you didn’t, why not ask Him to come in fresh and new? You might PRAY THIS PRAYER: Dear God, I know that I love You and You love me. I have asked You into my heart before today, but I know my life hasn’t shown that lately. Thank You for not giving up on me. Please forgive me for all that I’ve done against the Family Name. I welcome You into every part of my life today. I want to be a Godly man. Mold me into who You want me to be.
The Godly man will always begin...and end...with Jesus!
