Don’t go through life with a ‘give up’ attitude. Instead, give everything up to Christ and trust that He will take care of you.

And His disciples answered Him, ‘Where will anyone be able to find enough bread here in this desolate place to satisfy these people? (Mark 8:4).

THINK

When there is a problem in your family, at school or in your place of work, do you come across people who immediately react in a negative manner and have the ‘give up’ attitude? Do people throw up their hands in despair and think, “Well, I can’t do anything about it”?

Even the disciples faced that temptation to give up. Like them, we can fail to look in the rear view mirror and remember God’s provision in the past and instead focus on what we think is hopeless right now.

PRAY

Thank God for all that He has provided. When you face the temptation to throw up your hands, ask God to open your hands to the blessings He is preparing for you.

ACT

Write a short list of times in the past God has shown up and how He helped get you to where you are today. Share those stories with others and encourage the negative people in your life to pray with you about matters that are happening right now.
