God Watches Out for Us

No child of His is ignored or goes for want of attention.

Jeremiah was told by God, "'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations'" (Jeremiah 1:5). What was true for Jeremiah is true for us. No child of His is ignored or goes for want of attention. God is watching us all the time. Knowing how we think and feel, He works in our lives on a personal level.

Not only are we the focus of His attention, but our inner life is something He is deeply interested in. "All things are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to give an explanation" (Hebrews 4:13). The beauty of this is that God's relationship is with who we are, not the person we would like to be, or the person we present to others. Who we really are is the person that He is in love with.

Many Christians instinctively feel the only interest God has in them is that they should be doing the right thing and doing it all the time. His interest is different. The interest of a Great Father is the children of His love.
