God Wants Our Attention

Since creation, God has been performing miracles to get His people to believe in Him.

Read: 1 Samuel 26:1-28:25; John 11:1-54; Psalm 117:1-2;  Proverbs 15:22-23

Since creation, God has been performing miracles to get His people to believe in Him. Jesus used Lazarus’ death to demonstrate the power of God. In John 11:4, He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

Lazarus died. Upon Jesus’ arrival, Lazarus had been buried four days. Jesus called to God, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” (John 11:41-42). Then Jesus ordered Lazarus to “come forth” and the dead man “came forth.” Many who saw the miracle placed their faith in Jesus Christ fulfilling God’s plan.

Today, Jesus is still performing miracles to draw people to Him. Through Jesus all things are possible. Take a moment to reflect on the miracles God has performed in your life. Look beyond the outward blessings of possessions. What miraculous signs drew you to Jesus? How many others have been drawn to Jesus through the miracles they witnessed in your life?
