God's Purity of Intent

00:00

Description

God wants us to be well loved children within His family, reflecting the characteristics of Christ.

A wonderful thing to realize is the purity of intent of Heaven's God. Everything in life that is fine and good can be traced back to Him. He has no hidden agendas nor intentions that will betray us. James says this beautifully.

"Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow" (James 1:17).

All the light that exists is a pale reflection of the purity of our God. The lights of the sky and the light of day pass, and every light on this planet or in the universe will be obscured by shade or darkness. But such is not the case with our Father. Merely wanting our good and always wanting a relationship with us, His motives are simple. He wants us to be well loved children within His family, reflecting the characteristics of Christ. That is why verse 18 in James 1 speaks of how the Father determined to bring us forth as His children, the first fruits of His creation: children to be loved with perfect purity of intent.
