God Keeps Good Records

"For God is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other Christians, as you still do." (Hebrews 6:10, NLT)

If you are a volunteer—this devo is for you! If you serve the Lord in any capacity—at church, in a ministry or for a God-ordained organization—especially in unpaid overtime—this devo's for you! If you stay up late to pray, get up early to prepare and push past your own pain to minister to and for God's people—this devo is for you! If you work hard for the Lord in caring for and about others—even when no one is watching or patting you on the back—this devo's for you!

Be encouraged with this simple reality: God keeps good records!

Don't get weary in well-doing. The Lord won't forget how hard you work. He keeps good records and He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Every Christian leader knows that without faithful volunteers—churches, ministries and other outreach organizations could not do the Lord's work and fulfill His purposes. Volunteers (aka: servants!) make all the difference! On that day when the Lord inspects our lives and begins to dish out rewards—I am sure that many unknown, behind-the-scenes, invisible, faithful volunteers will step to the front of the line. Eternity will tell a great story about faithful volunteers.

The Bible says, "A faithful man will abound with blessings…." (Proverbs 28:20, NKJV)

Today, dear volunteer—remember the Lord is keeping good records of your servant-hearted faithfulness and in this life and the life to come—you will abound with blessings. Say this today and expect the Lord's goodness to show up in your life...

Say It: “Father, I thank You that You keep good records. You are not unfair or unfaithful. I have done my best to be faithful to You and all that You have asked of me as I volunteer hours and serve You. I am glad that You know and remember all the hard work, late nights, extra hours, labor and love I have shown to Your people. Today, I receive the truth of Your Word—I believe it and I declare it: I shall abound with blessings in this life and in the life to come. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
