God is Watching

Description

God is watching over us with love.

Why does He remind me of this today?

I asked Him, “How can I bring You into the ebb and flow of my life?”

He answers, “I am watching.”

I’m surprised.

I’m surprised how it brings me comfort.

He says, “I’m here at all times, even if you don’t acknowledge Me.

I remember the first time He told me this truth.

He said, “I have ears to hear.

I have eyes to see.”

It did not bring comfort.

I wanted to run away.

I wanted to hide.

But where could I go from His presence?

Why didn’t He just turn away?

Why didn’t He just leave me alone?

He is watching.

He should have left me in my ugliness.

He should have left me in my self-destruction.

But He didn’t.

He bowed low to love.

He knelt down to heal.

He touched me.

He exchanged my ugliness for beauty.

He replaced my destructive nature with life.

He redeemed me.

Today, when He whispers, “I’m watching.”

It brings relief.

I understand nothing escapes Him.

This is a good.

He's watching as my advocate.

He’s watching to guide me.

He examines my ways to provide counsel.

He sees the truth to reveal the lie.

He is watching wisely.

He cares about everything.

He works to change me.

Life is not perfect. I make mistakes.

But this how I face the ebb and flow of life.

He forms my heart to fit perfectly in His hands.

This is how I survive.

Nothing can separate me from His love.

He is watching.

He can watch from distance.

He can watch nearby.

The choice is mine.

I yield.

He draws near.

Here’s the secret.

He watches over me with love.

From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place He watches all who live on earth – He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. Psalm 33:13-14

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Psalm 33:18-21
