Exercise your faith! Trust in Him. His presence is there with you … right now! How do you know? Because He says so.
This is what the LORD says … “Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” ISAIAH 43:1 – 2
Do you need answers, but God seems to be silent? In John 11, Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus, hoping He would heal their brother, Lazarus. They knew Jesus loved him. But Jesus didn’t answer them! In fact, when they sent for Him, He stayed where He was two more days — and Lazarus died.
When Jesus finally came to Bethany, Martha said, “Lord, … if you had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21). Yet Jesus did come into Martha’s place of grief, but He came in His own way, in His own time, and for His own purpose.
Today He promises you and me He will do the same. He will be there with you in the midst of suffering. In Psalm 23:4, King David bore witness to God’s presence: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
Jesus was with Mary and Martha in their grief, and ultimately He raised Lazarus from the dead. His delays in our lives develop our faith.
So exercise your faith! Trust in Him. His presence is there with you … right now! How do you know? Because He says so.
