God Is Sufficient
1 Corinthians 1:27-29
God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
How does God make His glory evident in us? It’s when His power and His strength and His grace are made evident in the places where our strength is insufficient and incomplete. God is saying, “I’m going to stand you on the stage of all eternity and do remarkable things. Everybody will watch, and when they look at you they will have to know I helped.” That’s my story. That’s your story too. God intends for His Son to receive glory—for all eternity—for what is accomplished through your life and mine.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your strength is sufficient for me. Thank You that when I am weak You are strong. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient. Help me to give You all honor and glory for the good things that happen in my life, for it all comes from You. In the name of Jesus, amen.
