God is Omnipresent

Description

He comes to those who need Him alone, not to those who are merely curious.

For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (Isaiah 57:15)

God is omnipresent, yet has locality, “thereness.” He occupies the Throne of the cosmos, positioned at its summit. Yet in His creation, God chooses to localize His presence with the lowliest of people. Our city, Houston, is prone to flooding. Torrential rains fall from the “high” place of the skies, and probe relentlessly until they run into the lowest places. It is a picture of God. He is transcendent, yet immanent, high and lifted up, yet near. And, He comes to those who need Him alone, not those who are merely curious or want to add Him to their collection of remedies.
