God Is Love

Description

It is important that you realize how much you are loved, because then you will be able to love others in return.

I John 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

People search for love their whole lives. We search for acceptance and love in so many places- marriage, work, with friends, with our children, in society, but there is one person that will always love us, and that is God. We need to count on and rely on God’s love in our lives. There is no other love like the love of our Heavenly Father. He adores you.

Soak that thought in today as you go about your day, whether you are in a meeting, the car pool line, at the grocery store, on an airplane…wherever you go, whoever you are with, remind yourself, I am fully loved. Tell yourself over and over again until you believe it, that God loves you like no other. He knows everything about you and He loves you. God knows all your secrets, even the ones you have never shared with your husband, yet He loves you.

It is important that you realize how much you are loved, because then you will be more likely to love others in return. Teach your children about God’s deep love for them.  Point out every little aspect about them that is wonderful and say “God loves this about you, and this about you, He loves all of you.” What a gift you will be giving your child!

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for Your love.  Thank You for always loving me no matter what I have done and always giving me grace.  God, I want to love the way You love.  Teach me Your ways.
