;

God Is Able

Description

We should know that our Lord is able to move on our behalf, and that He will EXCEED our expectations ABUNDANTLY.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Most Christians believe God has the power to answer prayers. The Apostle Paul, in today’s verse, wants the believer to understand God’s power is even greater than what we think it is. We should know that He is able to, not only save us from any tribulation we are going through; but that He is able to do “EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL that we ask or think.” In other words, our Lord will EXCEED our expectations ABUNDANTLY. He can go ABOVE and beyond, not just some of the things we ask for; but ALL we even think He can do.

He proved this to the three Hebrew lads thrown into the furnace in Daniel 3:16-27. (KJV) The three knew that Jehovah could save them from the fire if He desired to. But, what if the furnace was heated seven times hotter than ever before? What if they were bound by the MIGHTIEST MEN in the king’s army? What if their hats and coats were left on for kindling? And, what if they were thrust to the ground so they couldn’t run out of the fire? Could their God overcome such odds? He did!

The Almighty did over and above what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego asked for. Paul wants us to know He can, and will, do it for all believers. No matter what the enemy throws at you today; no matter how the odds are stacked against you – remember, God is able!
