God Is a Gentleman

If you’re enduring difficult times, ask God to give you a specific promise in His Word.

I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints. (PSALM 85:8)

Perhaps this is one of those times when fear and worry are constant companions …

Maybe you’ve just said good-bye to a loved one who’s serving in the military.

Maybe you’re suddenly facing life as a single parent.

Maybe your business is in trouble.

If you’re enduring one of these times, ask God to give you a specific promise in His Word, one you can base your faith on.

Before the flood came, God promised Noah that everyone in the ark would be kept alive. Noah’s peace rested on his faith in God’s promise.

Faith based simply on what you want or feel isn’t genuine faith. Hebrews 11:7 says “by faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.”

God is a Gentleman. He keeps His Word.
