Stop doubting Him. He has heard your prayer, and He knows exactly how and when to answer it. He is always on time.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 JOHN 5:14
The truth is, bad things happen to those Jesus loves. But you and I need to learn to interpret our circumstances by God’s love — not interpret His love by our circumstances!
With all their wealth and influence, Mary, Martha, and their brother Lazarus were helpless in the face of Lazarus’ serious illness. The sisters became so alarmed that they “sent word to Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick’” (John 11:3). Jesus got their message, yet He stayed where He was two more days. In the face of His friends’ urgent plea, He was silent and still.
Has your desperate prayer remained unanswered? Have you prayed, yet you seem to get no response or movement? Jesus’ delay is never due to indifference or preoccupation, or an inability to act. His purpose is to develop your faith in Him and Him alone — until you display His glory. So stop doubting Him. He has heard your prayer, and He knows exactly how and when to answer it. He is always on time.
