Job 12:12 (NASB®)
“Wisdom is with aged men, with long life is understanding.”
When I was a younger man it annoyed me when people said there were some things I’d have to learn by experience. I’d think, “My determination and effort will work you and your experience under the table!” Over the years I’ve come to value experience very highly, especially God-experience. One of the ways to gain God-experience is to spend time with people who have experienced God in a way you have not. Sometimes you will have to travel for it and even pay for it. Often there are people around us with God-experience we could benefit from. I’d invite you to make attaining God-experience a priority in your life.
Heavenly Father, thank You for those with God-experience who have impacted my life. Thank You for those who have guided me away from unhelpful paths and toward paths of blessing. I invite You to send people across my path who will challenge me to grow in my walk with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
