God Does the Filling

Description

Being filled means letting God be in full control. Today, willingly submit your life to His influence over you.

It is possible to live life under the influence of the Holy Spirit continually. It starts with our conscious choice to allow ourselves to be filled, but it really happens as God takes the initiative to influence our lives, which He loves to do!

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

- Ephesians 5:18 (NIV)

We are commanded to choose to be filled, but the filling happens as God does a great work in our hearts and our lives. He longs to influence your mind, your emotions, and your will – every part of you that makes you a human being made in God’s image.

He longs to challenge your mind to think greater thoughts about Him and the life He has for you. He’s inspired a collection of 66 books to stimulate your thinking and He’s just waiting to guide you into a better understanding of the Bible as His Spirit illuminates its truth before you.

He wants to lead your heart, for He knows that we live out of the heart. While we are ultra-susceptible to our hearts being hardened or compromised by our experiences in life, His Spirit can re-birth a new, softened heart in you.

He desires to order your steps and lead you through decisions. Our life is the sum total of the choices that God has made and that we have made, mysteriously woven together under His sovereignty.

Being filled means letting God be in full control. Today, willingly submit your life to His influence over you.
