Your home is important, but don’t forget about your friends. Make time to invest in them and in yourself.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24

The life of a mom can be a lonely life. We can get so bogged down in our daily routine that we forget to reach out to others to fill us up with love and friendship. But, friendship is key in a mom’s world. You need the fellowship with other women, to talk about what your children are doing, to vent about how hard it is being a mom, and to be encouraged by another mom that you are doing a good job.

God knows that we need friends, and Paul encourages us in Hebrews to seek out those friendships. We need to lift each other up in love and good deeds. Do you have a friend that is going through a particular hard time this season with her child or marriage? Maybe you should make her a meal as a surprise, or just go over to her house and have a cup of coffee with her and talk. There are so many ways we can encourage and love one another.

Your home is important, but don’t forget about your friends. Make time to invest in them and invest in yourself. We all need love and good deeds in our life.

Father, thank you for my friends. Show me, Lord, how to be a better friend to others. God, please send me a good friend, one that will encourage me and lift me up. I want to have good friends and be a good friend. Teach me your ways.
