For Such a Time as This
Esther 4:12-14 When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Here was beautiful Queen Esther, thinking that she couldn’t do much to save her people in her own land. Here was ornery old Mordecai who had another idea. His idea was that maybe, just maybe, God had put Esther there, in her position, in her strength and in her weakness, with all her imperfections and fears; for such a time as this.
What God did for Esther then I am certain He does for you and me today; He places us, He prepares us, He fills in our gaps to make a difference in this world, for such a time as this.
