Floods and Tears

Young Xiaobo sits in a boat looking at houses inundated by floods in his community in southern China.

From May to July 2016, southeast China was pounded by extreme rain and floods. More than 180 people died, and nearly 1.5 million evacuated in 26 provinces.

World Vision distributed quilts, relief kits for families and children, and set up Child-Friendly Spaces where children can gather and play. The organization expects to assist with recovery for at least 15 months.
