Fighting a Killer

Jorge Manessa Charles, 27, shown with his family, fights against malaria in Fabrica, Mozambique.

Jorge’s children are his pride and joy. That’s why he is a crusader fore malaria prevention. He realizes the importance of the work for his own family.

“For families who already have the bed nets, I teach them how to put up the nets. I care for my family as well and hung a net,” he says.

Florência Jerônimo, 60, a World Vision volunteer for four years, says that raising awareness in communities to prevent malaria is a noble and courageous mission.
