Feeding Others with Little Bits
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs"—JOHN 21:15.
Do you think God can’t use you because you can only offer Him a little bit of time, a little bit of money, a little bit of knowledge? Remember that Jesus can make a little bit… more than enough.
When Jesus and His disciples set aside time for a retreat, five thousand people showed up. They wanted Jesus to heal them and teach them. But apparently none of them brought a thing to eat.
The disciples tried to persuade Jesus to “send the crowd away.” But Jesus said, “You give them something to eat.” So Andrew found a little boy with five loaves and two fish… just little bits of food. Then, “taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to set before the people.” All five thousand were fed (Luke 9:12 – 13, 16 – 17).
Jesus can use broken pieces. He can take a little bit and make it more than enough!
