Family Studies

Morsalin and his mother study at a World Vision informal education center in Bangladesh, hoping to improve their lives.

Morsalin is a child laborer, the only earning member of his family. Every day he works in a local restaurant for about six hours and earns only about 30 cents U.S. daily. Three years back his father died.

His mother does domestic work at a neighbor's house. The house owner pays her in food instead of money; however, this food is not enough for her and her son.

Morsalin’s mother believes that only education can change their lives. She comes to this non-formal education center every day. She is now counting numbers, writes her name, and is starting to read easy books.
