Fall on Your Knees

The Father wants our hearts and minds and souls to fall down and worship Jesus.

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10–11 kjv)

The Bible tells of the interesting reactions many had upon first seeing Jesus. For instance, when the wise men first laid eyes on Jesus, they fell down and worshipped Him. And do you recall the woman in the crowd who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment? Jesus turned around and said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” (Luke 8:45). I love the sensitivity of Jesus; He felt her touch, and He healed her—and the woman just fell down to the ground in worship and thankfulness! Then there was Peter, who couldn’t catch any fish until Jesus showed up. When the catch was great, what did he do? He fell down and worshipped Jesus. And my favorite, Thomas, another disciple, when hearing from the other disciples that Jesus had risen from the dead, vowed, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in His hands.” And then Jesus appeared and said to Tom, “Put your hand into the wound in my side.” And an awed Thomas responded, “My Lord and my God!” All he could do was worship Him (John 20:25–28 nlt).

That is what the heavenly Father wants us to do even today. Though we may not always do this physically, He wants our hearts and minds and souls to fall down and worship Jesus. If you have not yet accepted the good news of Jesus Christ, I pray you will. When you really see Him, you will fall down to worship Him and commit your life to Him!
