The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.
Abram gave Lot first pick of the new land God had given him. Lot, picked the best land for himself. Abram did not care because Abram’s trust was in God, not the land. But, God blessed Abram far greater than Lot because of his deep faith.
Where or who is your faith in at this moment in time? Is your faith and trust in your job, marriage, life with your family? Abram is a perfect example to us all— our faith needs to be in God. God is faithful even when the circumstances do not appear to be in our favor. God is in our favor. It’s not that God will change what we are going through, but He will get you through it and when you come out on the other end, you will be a stronger, better person.
Place your faith in God— don’t hold back—receive His full blessings on your life. God wants to bless us. We need to choose to trust in Him.
Father, Create in me a faith so strong that regardless of the circumstances in my life, I will trust you. God, I want to be able to “see” your faithfulness even in the dark times. I trust You and I believe that Your love and strength will sustain me through all of life's circumstances.
