…a time to weep and a time laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance… Ecclesiastes 3:4
We can’t determine how much time we are given in life, but we can determine what we do within that given time. In Ecclesiastes, the Scripture says that there is a time to weep, laugh, mourn and dance. For many, times of weeping and times of mourning occur without thought. We intuitively mourn in times of tragedy or loss.
However, laughter is different. We frequently overlook the small joys in life and the humor hidden throughout our daily routines. Too often, we take ourselves too seriously. Many of us need to laugh more. Remember each day you wake up, you are given an opportunity to experience life and to experience laughter.
Pray that God allow you to experience the joy of laughter in your everyday life, as well as grant you the ability to not take yourself too seriously.
Just as laughter is an important part of our lives, it is equally important in the lives of others. Today, be intentional in creating moments of joy and laughter in the lives of others.
