Driving Up Jesus Christ Parkway

Description

You might be surprised to see only one road leading into heaven – Jesus Christ Parkway, a well-built and maintained highway built to last for centuries and accommodate many tired and weary travelers.

“Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.’” (John 14:5-6, AMP)

Ever wonder what a map of heaven looks like? Imagine downloading and looking at heaven’s version of Google Maps and what it might look like. I am confident you would not find Pacific Coast Highway (101), Route 66, Interstate 10, the New Jersey Turnpike, Lakeshore Drive or Martin Luther King Boulevard on the map.

I think you might be surprised to see only one road leading into heaven – Jesus Christ Parkway. I imagine this well-built and maintained highway was built to last for centuries and accommodate many tired and weary travelers. Unlike worldly highways, there are no rest stops, emergency exits or gas stations. I’m quite sure you will not see a McDonald’s along the way. Instead, I am convinced that the road is lined with angels that greet you as you pass by. The highway is bright with illumination. There are no turns or exit signs. There is no clutter or debris along the way. No signs of travelers who broke down and didn’t make it. The farther along you drive the brighter it gets and the sky radiates with an indescribable light. Suddenly, the air is filled with the sound of trumpets, praise and joyful singing. Yes, this road originates on planet earth, but it leads straight to the Kingdom of Heaven and the throne of the Lord.

Are you feeling lost, in need of directions and a strong desire to find heaven, but don’t know how to get there? Don’t worry. It’s easier that you think. Simply:

(1) Pick up your roadmap (Bible)

(2) Read it (directions are all spelled out and simple to follow)

(3) Get on Jesus Christ Parkway by accepting Him as Lord and Savior

(4) Once you’re on the Parkway, do not turn off, turnaround or look back

(5) Keep your eyes on Jesus and follow the Parkway all the way to heaven. Trust Jesus and stay connected to Him. With Him, you can’t miss it.

Lord, thank you for showing me the one and only way to heaven. Teach me to stay on your path no matter what. Through the blood of Jesus and in the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
