Don't Let Him Out of Your Sight
Have you ever let someone out of your sight?
You’re shopping, for example, and all of a sudden, your youngest child disappears ... panic ensues! You finally find him in the candy aisle ... what a clever hiding place! If that’s ever happened to you, you’re quite familiar with the intense fear of not knowing where your child is because you let him out of your sight for just a few seconds.
There’s someone else like this ... that if you lose sight of him, it often leads to fear or insecurity in your life ... and it’s Jesus! Today, be encouraged to not let Jesus out of your sight for even one moment over the course of this day.
Keep your eyes always on the Lord, setting Him always before your spiritual eyes. He is there every moment ... even when you don’t feel Him, even when something unexpected happens that makes you tremble (or the opposite, rage), even when you forget His presence in the middle of your circumstances ... He is always there.
And since God is right there at your right hand, you don’t have to be afraid of weakness overtaking you. Always seek to see Jesus in every situation ... that’s how you’ll be encouraged by His presence, and that’s how you yourself can encourage others. 😊
Here's a prayer to keep focused on the Lord …“Lord Jesus, thank You for who You are and for everything You’ve already done, and will do again, for me. Help me keep my eyes fixed on You today. To not focus on my problem but on You. May my gaze be upon You every moment of this day! I ask You to inspire and lead me by Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus! Amen.”
